Sustainability

Anyone who — like us in the Allgäu — has a unique landscape in front of their eyes every day knows how valuable our nature is. That is why sustainability and resource conservation have long been the basis of our business activities.

Engergy management

We have been working successfully for over 10 years with our energy management system to reduce our energy consumption.

Since its introduction, we have succeeded in reducing energy consumption at our sites per kilogram of covering yarn by more than 40 percent.

We are also reducing our CO2 footprint by installing a Photovoltaic system on the roof of the new building. In a next step, the other roof areas will also be equipped with PV systems. Due to the high base load of our production, the electricity generated from renewable sources can be used entirely in-house.

waste reduction / recyling

Every kilogram of waste wastes raw materials and energy. This is why we have been meticulously tracking our waste figures for years. By continuously improving our processes, we have been able to constantly reduce waste over the years.

We try to recycle any waste that arises. We have currently started a project with a partner to produce high-quality new yarn from our winding waste.

Due to the improved recyclability, we have largely replaced plastic tubes with cardboard tubes. In cooperation with a workshop for the disabled, we have created a cycle for the reuse of cardboard spools with larger quantities.

sustainable raw materials

We actively support our customers in replacing crude oil-based materials with bio-based or natural materials.

Twisted yarns usually combine yarns with very different properties, making mechanical or chemical separation and therefore recycling difficult or impossible.

We therefore actively support customers in the selection and use of non-toxic degradable yarns and elastanes.

promise of sustainability

We are constantly looking for environmentally friendly innovations and resource-saving alternatives.

BE SUSTAINABLE.
